Our assemblies consist of 45-minute interactive basketball shows that may help support your schools SEL (Social Emotional Learning) initiatives. Social and emotional learning (SEL) is a vital part of a child’s development. To reference the definition from The Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning (CASEL) “SEL is the process through which all young people and adults acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions.”
Jack ¨BlackJack¨ Ryan, is a 3-time Guinness record holder achieved at NBA All-Star Weekend, including longest spin on toe, longest spin on nose and most free throws blindfolded in a minute. He is an ESPN City Slam National 3-Point Champion and MTV´s Band of Ballers Champion. Streetball legend Jack Ryan´s life story has been made into a feature film called ¨Blackjack: The Jackie Ryan Story¨. He was also featured on a documentary on Netflix and YouTube. Jack became a member of The World-Famous Harlem Wizards in 1997 and Showman in 1999. His K-12 assembly programs provide an electrifying basketball educational show that emphasizes the importance of respect, having a good attitude and doing your best in school.
